This is a fantastic little bakery in the heart of Royal Wootton Bassett. The owner operates the bakery most days and adds a personal touch and a lot of character to the early morning experience. We visited a couple of mornings during our stay in Bassett and loved the pastries.

I was staying at The Angel Inn which was located across the street. The Angel was not serving breakfast at the time, and I rise early in the AM. I stumbled over to Bassett Bakey around 6:45Am the first morning of my stay as I needed coffee. I ended up getting more. I met Dean, the owner, and he was very friendly. I got my two Americanos, and a sausage roll to go as there is no real spot to eat at the store. It was a tasty breakfast, and I saw Dean for three of the next four days and we were quite chummy at the end. Standup guy and a quality product right on High Street. Popped in for the first time and tried one of their filled baguettes, and it was amazing. I had tuna mayo with all salad. You will not get a more loaded and filled baguette or roll, it was quality. Friendly staff as well.

Great little bakery, needed something to eat after driving from Somerset. Had a breakfast roll sausage, bacon and egg. Very tasty freshly cooked delicious

After awful service at the other bakery in Bassett, decided to give this one a try. Amazing! Staff were very friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Nice warm food, good selection and price range of cold drinks. Won't go anywhere else after this visit.

Great sausage rolls! Attentive staff ready to cheer up your day with a friendly banter and big smile! Forget fast food chains and go to the Bassett Bakery.
Super good food, and wonderful staff. We came in from Abbotsford and stayed here for 2 days and had to eat brunch here both days. Very accommodating staff. Such good, much taste.
Best thing after a hair cut, a lovely pasties, thanks guys, Glad the baker is not a hair dresser even if he gives bad quotes for a hair cut, See you next time I'm in the UK.

If you want good food supplied by the best staff look no further Brenda and Kirsty will nock you up a roll of your choice all made freshly with a wide selection of pastery goods and cakes available to they have also been know to stock the Dale special roll which if you like the idea of a roast dinner in a roll ask a member of staff for details 😁 cearless whispers are also stocked here 😆
I think it's a great little place, nothing special to look at, but great sandwiches and cakes.
Friendly place. Bought a Hall's lardy cake. First one I've had for at least three years! Very good.
I just love this bakery, always get my lunch, coffee, bread and cakes here. They made wonderful cakes for my birthday and the staff are always polite and friendly.
